Maple Pecan Fat Balls

The hype around Fat Balls has been overwhelming lately. I figured they couldn’t be that good right? I just hadn’t been convinced to make them yet, but while I was at the doctor’s office the other day, doing my Lyme IV therapy, my nurse started talking about the Keto Bites she made with another patient. Long story short, I made a huge batch of Fat Balls and they’re all gone… oops.

I don’t do Keto, but I am a huge believer in eating a lot of healthy fats. So as I am currently on a mission to find more gut-healthy snacks, I am happy to announce that these Maple Pecan Fat Balls are absolutely in my list of favorite snacks.

I’ve never been camping, but I imagine that these taste a lot like camping –

Maple Pecan Fat Balls

  • 1 cup almond butter
  • 1/2 cup cacao butter
  • 2 tbsp butter (grass-fed)
  • 3 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup pecans (raw)
  • 1/4 cup flax seed (ground)
  • 1/4 cup cranberries (unsweetened, dried)
  1. Melt cacao butter and grass-fed butter over the stove
  2. Combine all ingredients, including melted butters, in a food processor and blend until well mixed
  3. Transfer to an air-tight container and store in the refrigerator until hard
  4. Line a cookie tray with wax paper
  5. Roll hard mixture into 1 inch balls
  6. Freeze for 15 minutes
  7. Transfer to airtight container and store in the refrigerator
